Thoughts about legacy

Feet solidly planted in the Crone stage of life, these questions have been foremost in my mind as I contemplate the notion of legacy.

What healing is still on the table and yet to be addressed?
What legacy am I slated to leave and how can I ensure that it’s aligned with what my soul came here to accomplish?
Am I doing all that I came here to do?
With the world feeling upside down, I’ve been asking the angels how I can best serve the evolution of consciousness – for my family, my friends, my local area, this beautiful soul community.

Truth be told – I don’t care about leaving a legacy that keeps my name alive. This incarnation is one of many and what Elvia is here to do is one step on the evolutionary journey of my soul.

No, I am far more interested in leaving a legacy that has reinforced the resonance of a Love that endures and triumphs over chaos, disruption and violence. A legacy that reinforces a foundation for people to trust their own inner voice, denying any controlling influence of others.

Peter and I were having our morning coffee/tea recently. He brought up  his work because one of his co-workers tends to be overbearing. I got this image of people sitting around a conference table wearing their adult clothes as the child version of themselves. All the unhealed trauma and pain is present at the table, always – until it is dealt with and released. True for all of us.

Within hours of writing the first draft of this message, I received a call from a family member that plunged me back into the deep end of the healing pool. I was (still am) forced to look at some behaviors I had adopted in childhood resulting from heightened sensitivity I didn’t understand that led to undiagnosed depression. Thankfully that was just a phase, but I did develop some maladapted beliefs about myself that I’ve been unraveling, especially since that call.

Childhood pain and trauma leaves wounds that don’t scar over until we are ready, able and courageous enough to see the wound for what it is and love that part of us until it heals.

Hurt people hurt people. Suffering is a call to action to heal our wounds and release the pain so that we can show up more whole and able to embody the peace, love and compassion we came here to be.

Love myself, standing true to my relationship with Source and the calling of my soul.
From this space of wholeness, love others with all my heart and growing awareness of the impact my choices have on others.
Stay humble and brave enough to dig into whatever healing is front and center.
Spread joy, faith and love.

This is the legacy I wish to create. What’s yours beautiful soul?
