Best Practices – Give it Up! ⬆️

What does “giving it to God” mean? Practically speaking. Like, how do we navigate life differently when we offer our troubles to the Divine Problem Solver?

I sometimes hear folks in desperate, stressful moments cry out, “I’m giving it to God!”

A great choice.

But, it’s the follow-through – the actual living of true surrender to the Divine Plan – that is so often the quietly missed next step.

The situation is given to God, but if we relapse into handling it the way we were approaching it before.
Nothing really changes.

When we give it to God, what we’re actually saying is, “This is too much for me to handle on my own. I need divine assistance to handle this a better way. God (Source… Angels…), please show me your path forward. Make your guidance clear.”

And then…
We are called to listen for that guidance. Be open to another way forward, trusting that it will be shown.

We are called to be patient when necessary as the Universe rearranges itself to help us.

We are called to take action when – and only when – the guided path is clear.

~~~~~~
I’ve been doing a thing for the past couple of years… Every morning, I meditate for up to an hour in that beautiful space between sleep and wakefulness and enjoy a lovely conversation with God.
At the end of my communing, the angels give me a word for the day. It’s been all kinds of things from Breathe to Growth to Dream to Flow… If (/when) I’m having a moment during the day, I return to the word for insight and centering.
Lately, my word has been either Surrender or Give. We’ve been in a wild and delightful phase of life personally.
Since my last message to you, we’ve found the perfect house in Rhode Island and will be moving out of our home of 33+ years.
Which means that 2025 is flowing like Class 4 rapids.
As I go through all the “things” from our children, my parents, my grandparents, my great grandparents, our endless projects that won’t be coming with us, I can feel the overwhelm threatening as a trap… and then I remember my word – Surrender. Give. Let God make the decisions. Let the angels lead the way.
And I remember, there is always a divine solution that is WAY better than anything I could come up with on my own.
So, my dear friend, give your worries and cares to God. And then wait patiently for the guidance that always follows.
