What’s the purpose of your card deck?

This is one of my favorite rituals with a new deck.

I believe that each card deck has a specific purpose. Or at least the ones we are destined to work with. (Let’s face it – some of us are card deck addicts with extra decks we rarely use 🙋‍♀️.)

When a deck comes to us by way of the angels, we create a “relationship” with it as we engage with the cards and use them to receive the messages from the angels.

So when a deck is brought into our lives, how do we know its purpose?

Here’s how.

After blessing the deck and thanking it for the messages it will bring you, shuffle the cards and pick one with the intention: What is your purpose for working with me?

That one card – the first you choose – represents the deck’s raison d’etre. Its reason for being with you.

Journal about it if you choose. Mark the card so you have record and then you can refer back to it as needed when you use the deck in the future. The messages from the cards you pick in the future directly relate to the deck’s purpose.

AND… you can actually do this with any deck you already have. Pick a card and simply ask: how are you here to support me?
