Last week we started the conversation about what happens when we struggle to trust guidance and are unknowingly ignoring it.
Part 1 focused on Habits and those things we do without even realizing that actually bypass our angels’ wisdom.
This week, we’re talking about fear. Normalized fear, to be specific.
First point to be said is that fear is always an obstructing force. Guidance = Love.
Love and fear cannot coexist in the same space, therefore fear always pushes guidance to the side.
The good news is that we know we’re in a fear state, we can take action to pause the fear, if even for a moment, to hear the angels. Doing things like: taking a breath, calling a friend, going for a walk, doing EFT…things that restore balance.
This is all great when we know the fear is there. But what about the fear that has become so well established, we don’t recognize it as fear?
This is normalized fear.
And this is where it gets tricky.
How do you resolve normalized fear?
It begins with garnering the resolve to “go there”, to dig deep, be vulnerable and be bold about looking at what’s been buried…often for a very long time.
It takes cultivating a lifestyle of keen awareness – and I mean bold, raw, sometimes-even-brutal awareness. Noticing when, who and what triggers you. Allowing true feelings when you’re not totally comfortable with other people, in certain places or situations. Bringing awareness to those places and spaces that you have deliberately been hiding, allows the unconscious fears to surface and the healing to begin.
Listening to the body. What are those aches, pains and ailments telling you? Stress from hidden fears takes its toll.
As Bessel van der Kolk wrote in, The Body Keeps Score, “Traumatized people chronically feel unsafe inside their bodies: The past is alive in the form of gnawing interior discomfort. Their bodies are constantly bombarded by visceral warning signs, and, in an attempt to control these processes, they often become expert at ignoring their gut feelings and in numbing awareness of what is played out inside. They learn to hide from their selves.”
Unravel what your body is quietly sharing.
Staying true to your daily spiritual practice. This tells the Universe that you are 100% committed to working through any necessary healing with your angels. As you say YES to a partnership with your angels, everything you need to work through those unseen obstacles will come your way.
This is not easy work and it often requires help from a professional therapist, coach, minister…whoever you feel can hold your hand when you need to step into the darker places of your soul.
It also takes time and a boatload of gentleness.
These walls were built by the ego with the good intention of protecting you. Thing is…this kind of protection is false and only traps the fear within.
As we draw to a close this week, I offer you this prayer…
Dear angels,
Shine the light on all that I need to see within me.
Let me know what has been hidden and is ready to be healed.
Show me how to release this fear and pain so that I may more completely experience the Joy of being human.
Thank you for always being here for me.
Blessed be and amen ππ»πππ»
Until next time…
