Fact is, the angels’ guidance is never wrong. What happens when we receive a “wrong” message is that fear-based filters have gotten in the way to distort the lines of communication.

Yes, it even happens with me sometimes. What gets me through those maddening moments when I feel I’ve missed my guidance is understanding the lesson and using that lesson for a higher purpose.

I recently felt guided to place an order with an online women’s clothing company. It was an order that was way above what I usually spend, but I’d received a bonus and wanted to treat myself. I ordered several blouses, a couple of skirts and this pair of red boots. When the package arrived, I was so excited that I actually didn’t open it for a few days – that built the anticipation… like Christmas!

When I finally unpacked the box and tried on the blouses, the color of the first one was “meh”, the second made me look pregnant and the turtle necks had box shoulders. The skirts were an odd length and hit me wrong in the waste. These funky boots…now they fit well, but they were a huge splurge. Not only are they expensive, but because they’re red I could only wear them with certain things – they’re limited. Not worth it. (I’ve splurged on clothing I’ve adored before and if it’s not usable, it sits in my closet glaring at me.)

The entire package had to be returned.

I was so irritated that my guidance seemed 100% wrong. Especially because I felt so close to my angels when I was selecting the items and placing the order. What happened? I prayed…

Later, as I was writing another article, the angels shared that whenever fear is a factor – even if we feel closely guided (key part of the message here) – we must take the extra step to go deep into our own stillness to ensure what we’re hearing is accurate.

Love and fear cannot exist together. The angels’ guidance is always love-based and if fear is lurking, the angels are in and out of your guided experience.

Fear’s in the room, the angels are out. Fear’s out of the room, the angels are in. It’s really quite absolute.

To be honest, I was nervous placing the order. Like I said, it was way beyond my usual clothing expenditures and when I hit the “Buy” button, I bit my lip and closed my eyes.

What I now know I should have done was to acknowledge the apprehension and pray on my decision to get the clear guidance I needed.

Now many times when we’re communicating with the angels, it can seem impossible to eradicate the fear. Clothing is an easy topic, but what about relationships, career, health – what I call, the big 3?

Start in the same place. Go deep into stillness and see if the clarity surfaces. If not, the best go to strategy is to check in with a trusted friend whose filters won’t be triggered and whose angel communication guidance you know is consistent.

Remember, there’s always a clear answer. You just have to know – and trust – the path to the truth within you.
