I killed a robin…Or, wrong beginnings

I was driving home from Connecticut on Route 95 yesterday when a robin flew from the side of the road and crossed in front of me. There was nothing I could do to avoid hitting it. My heart dropped as I looked in the rear view mirror to see it’s newly dead body rolling in the lane next to me.

It was all I could do not to burst into tears. I was on the phone with my brother and we were discussing heavy “family stuff” when it happened.

Later I went for a walk and asked God and the spirit of this sweet bird for the message. I know all too well that these kinds of events carry a gift that must be heard, otherwise this death would be for no use.

Immediately I heard, “Wrong beginnings.”

Let me back up to explain some of the intuitive details. What I know about the path of the bird is that it was flying right to left signifying that something is off. The robin itself is a first sign of spring and is about new beginnings.

Wrong beginnings made total sense as I put together the words from my benevolent guides with the facts of what had happened.

It was a message to pace myself and not rush things.

The bird hit on the left front of the car, so if I’d been traveling a few mph more slowly, I probably would have missed it. I did brake, but the bird also changed course trying to miss me, so we both misaligned.

This was also a message to stay VERY close to my guidance as I engage in new projects, especially those that involve others.

Every moment of every day contains winks, nods and boatloads of love and guidance from the spirit realm. Most of these messages are subtle and take more practice to hear and understand. On rare occasions, a message will hit you over the head like a 2X4 – like this one – and you KNOW you have to listen.

Pay attention to the signs today and you may all the flora and fauna in your path be safe!
