It’s been a while…a long while, since I’ve written a proper email to you and this beautiful group of angel loving souls.
A part of me wants to hang my head. The other part of me – who knows better – understands that life happens. And as life happens, we sometimes have to make hard choices.
Thank God for the angels. They are the only ones who can help us navigate and choose what’s in the highest good.
When the angels guide our decision making, the path is clear and simple. Not always easy, but aligned with what brings out the best in each of us.
When the ego is involved, the path gets cluttered, messy and can often feel like a steep climb up the north face of a mountain.
My angels flash… a struggle: two people trying to drive a bus. Picture: soul is driving and ego decides to jump in and fight for the wheel. Not good. You can’t have more than one driver, or it gets dangerous, right?!
Hellllloooo life!
The thing is, you’re always going to have at least two people who want to drive your bus. There are your angels, yes – that’s who you want to be the boss. But the ego – it’s never going to get off at the next stop. It’s there for the duration of life.
The ego can be obvious to identify when fear, doubt or judgment are front and center. Although on its really good days – it takes on a persona of pretending to be your saviour.
“Let me drive. Trust me. I’ve been down this road and know exactly what to do.”
Sounds like a credible voice, doesn’t it. But it’s not.
The angels will never insist. They don’t have to. Because in their world there is never competition.
What your angels sound like…
“It’s time to take a left turn. You’re ready dear one. Let’s do this!”
The angels shared back in January that 2015 is a year of rejuvenation for me. In April, I threw out my back and was forced to retreat – both for healing and family reasons – taking a sabbatical that lasted until this fall.
I’m smiling as I realize that my last email to you in March was about Sneaky Ego Trick #4 which states: it’s my personal responsibility to keep things together for everyone in my life. No one else is going to do it – at least not very well – so it’s gotta be me.
Ha! Sounds to me like the angels were working to reset my perspective. Thank you angels!
So my sweet one, who’s driving your bus today? Life happens and things can get messy with the ego fighting for control, but that stillness of the angels is ever present.
You just have to decide that they’re the only ones qualified to drive.
Affirm: I am guided by my angels in this moment. There is no room for fear. There is only love.
Until next time…
With love,
Rev. Elvia
Thank you Rev. That was so beautifully simple and true!!!
