Joy Journal – Deborah

Monday, April 11, 2016

Ok.  So.  Joy. Joy. Joy. Today is day number one of our little Joy experiment. With Rev Elvia as my accountability partner, we both decided to take this on despite the fact that we are each in low-energy, not-so-great-feeling spaces.  Suffice it to say we both have A LOT going on. Enter Joy. really?!?  After Meeting this morning and talking each other into it, we decided to do three things each day.  One thing that brought us Joy on a personal level.  A piece of writing (which is something that brings both of us Joy ( not to mention branded into our energetic blueprints), and this journal. We also greed to chat once a week to check in and discuss how it’s all going… Aka hold each other accountable.

So there it is.  The framework.

For me personally, I JUST began a commitment to ‘spice up’ my daily (specifically, morning) spiritual practice to include reciting the 12 tenets aloud and receiving daily channeled guidance in writing from my angels. I was also guided to publish these writinging I. Something I am currently calling ‘The Daiky Dose.’  Now when I say JUST, I literally mean two days ago… So committing to something additional seemed a bit overwhelming,  it somehow invigoratingly right at the same time. I am to be working on writings to go along with the 12 Tenets, and this just seems to help it all gel together.

So I had a joyful experience this afternoon, which I’m not counting as my one thing, but wanted to mention, as it brought me much joy.  I am currently in training under a Madter Hnotist who is looking to turn over his NH practice to me (an AMAZING gift in and of itself, which I am sure to be writing about in more detail later), but being able to witness the pure joy and absolute bliss on this clients face was simply priceless. It was a brilliant confirmation that this is exactly what I am spised to be doing. And THAT knowingness brings me much joy.

The deliberate thing I did for me tonight was to take a bubble bath.  All by myself, whilst the kids were occupied (Riley went out with John for some errands and. Rodin happily played his video games). It just sort of hit me, “oh wait… This is a perfect moment to do something that brings me joy,”. So into the tub I went. 🙂

The only other thing I wanted to touch on here is the fact that I had some question as to what exactly Joy means.  Is it more self-care?  Comfort? It is surely not always giddy happiness. So I let it go and later pulled the ‘Rejoice’ card from my life coaching card deck app. Perfect.

So today was a bit hectic and therefor a bit harder to find/make time for joy. As I dropped the kids off at school in the morning, I said to myself, ‘I’d really like a hot cocoa/decaf mix from that amazing little coffee shop down the street. So instead of talking myself out of it, I went for it!  And thank goodness, because that was the one thing I managed to do for my today. That and continuing my hypnosis training. Sat in on my first session today and confirmed with my Mentor that I was the right person to be handing things off to. Such an amazing gift. And you know when it’s right when it just happens.. Almost effortlessly in response to your prayers.  So really, this whole week is immersed in joy in and amongst sorrow and pain (more on that later)
