Is it time for a bubble bath?

I have been working with my friend Barb on a new class that begins October 28th entitled The 9 Steps of Protection with the Angels. We had so much fun teaching the first Protection with the Angels this past spring and in the process learned that it’s really a much more critical topic than we had originally thought. The intention of the new class is to provide more detailed structure for folks to implement in their daily routines and help them develop protection as a healthy habit.

I digress…so we met this morning and were talking about the importance of being aware of your energy level. If you’re feeling drained, strong, sad, depleted, happy, etc… Awareness is everything!

This morning, my angels told me I was carrying the mindset of feeling depleted. And I reply to them, “well yes, you’ve had me up at 5:30 and off to the gym in the spirit of ‘let’s remake Nina this fall’ “. I say this lovingly, because I know my angels are only doing what’s in my best interest. And at the same time, I have to giggle, because as I’m drooping over my laptop misspelling words, I know it’s because I’ve been awake since 5. They tell me it will take a week to get used to my new routine and I will feel stronger physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Sounds good to me! I can do that!

But that’s still 5 days away and I’m not quite there yet. I could push through using will power and pretend that my energy is there and force myself to do things that further drain me causing greater energetic vulnerability. OR, I can surrender to my awareness that my energy is a little subdued today and perhaps sneak away from my workload that beckons me for a bubble bath.

The importance of being aware of your energy is key to protection. Knowing when to take a break, when not to answer the phone, when to go for tea with a friend, and when to say “no” to another person’s request that doesn’t feel right is critical to good health. It’s not about shirking responsibilities, but rather having the awareness to know when your responsibility lies with caring for YOU!

I’ve often said that the angels share with me that women who get breast cancer typically have a tendency to give and give and give. They don’t protect themselves by saying “no” when they need to. They don’t always know when it’s time for a bubble bath.

Is it time for you to unplug the phone and turn on the faucet?!

With love, Rev. Nina
