Death can be a tricky subject. Loaded, actually.
Closure with deceased or dying loved ones can feel unattainable…unless you are able to communicate beyond the veil with the angels lighting the way.
I’ve been receiving guidance for over a year now to start doing more with mediumship, communication with those who have passed. While I’ve been formally trained, it’s something that’s taken it’s time to reach my heart and fill me with passion.
I was touched when the host of the Connecting with Angels Telesummit event, Lisa Dorey, asked me if I’d be okay talking about Mediumship with the Angels tomorrow with my stepmother so close to passing. I’m inspired actually. The timing feels perfect.
Baring witness to my stepmother’s rapid decline with cancer in addition to my father’s, mother’s and stepfather’s dance with advanced age, my skills of communication are honed to a sharp point. Subjects like, cremation versus not, who’s going to officiate the funeral, where do you want to be buried, who’s the power of attorney are an almost everyday occurence.
I’ve had to walk the thin line between what, when and where to talk about these things. I’ve had to keep my angelic antennae up and on 24/7…not that I wasn’t before, but with more need for “perfect conversations” my antennae has extended higher keeping my choices of words and timing aligned with divine guidance.
Some families are well-prepared with the thorn-like, business aspects of disease and dying. But in my family, these are topics that for the most part, we’ve avoided like the plague. Why think about all that “depressing stuff and junk,” as my mother would say, when there’s today to enjoy?
Yesterday, I asked my mom who her power of attorney is; her answer was “I don’t know.” I asked who can make her health-care decisions if necessary, “Duncan.” (Her 92 year old husband who fell in the shower last weekend.) Feeling slightly embarrassed by her lack of knowledge, she blurted out, “But I do know where we’ll be buried! That’s all been arranged.”
Phew…not really. I don’t want to push what’s not meant to be pushed and poke the bees nest without cause, nor do I wish to dwell on the dark side of what they face on a more real basis every day. But some knowledge is necessary or chaos is given an entrance.
Thank GOD I have my angels to guide me through every moment, every syllable. To keep me calm, balanced and continually re-orient my focus on the higher truth of the soul’s eternal existence.
I wept last night reading a passage in my new favorite book, From the Kitchen of Half Truth by Maria Goodin. The mother is dying of cancer (didn’t know that when I chose the book!) With her last breath, she asks her daughter to explain what she thinks it’s like after death. She wants to know what she’s about to experience.
The daughter described clouds made of marshmallows and fields of sponge cake. While I haven’t experienced anyone describe that, I have experienced many, many deceased loved ones who are so at peace….who are waiting to communicate with their humans still in body.
What’s so healing about mediumship with the angels is that closure can happen. The conversations that didn’t get finished (or even started) can get the attention they deserve. It’s not always the case, but often times.
