Our Precious Children

I had a nightmare about my grade school last night. No one liked me for who I was. In fact, they punished me for it. I’ll spare you the details.

This has been a time of MAJOR transformation on a personal and professional level…

My nest is getting ready to rapidly empty as our two children prepare to leave for college within months of each other. (Yikes!!)

I turn 50 in two weeks. (Kinda cool, really…a bit weird too.)

I was invited to contribute a chapter in Linda Joy’s next anthology project, Embracing Your Authentic Self. You may recall I had a deadline of March 1st which Linda has graciously extended. Never before have I embarked on such a healing journey of writing. This project has led me to dig deep into where I diverted from my path of authenticity.

I’ve realized over the past two days that it started as soon as I entered the school system.

Now I attended an all girls private school; my parents did the best they could to protect and provide for me. It wasn’t so much about the school itself.

Our society didn’t make compassion, happiness, self-discovery, and attaining your personal best a priority. The goal was to get you into a good college. Or for me, getting a solid full-time job serving coffee because after 12 years I had no clue what I wanted to do or where I wanted to go.

Sadly, it’s gotten worse for our children of this generation.

The angels work in miraculous ways and as I’ve been processing the truth of my journey which I’d admittedly buried, an email from our son’s school came across my desk.

It was an invitation for a viewing of a revolutionary film entitled Race to Nowhere. The essence of the message is that we are setting our children up for a life of stress and unhappiness, that we are robbing them of their abilities to think independently and creatively.

It brought me to tears and was the final message of validation that I’m in the midst of a major healing to release the conditioning that began when I entered the world of formal education.

The angels never give us a situation we can’t handle, so ultimately I know it’s all good. There’s always a solution and with awareness, divine intention, invervention and love, I will prevail. Grace will prevail.

Tomorrow evening, we have an event scheduled for our Silver Halo members of Living with the Angels™. It’s our Indigo Awareness Circle to help folks understand who the Indigo souls are, why they’re here and to also provide support for the sensitive beings of our beloved planet. Peter and I will be talking with our Indigo panel (special guest is our daughter, Orlena!) and sharing what it means to be an Indigo in our modern society.

I have been guided to open this event up to the public, because it’s time for those of us called to make change for ourselves, our children to take a definitive step.

Here are the details. Please forward to friends, loved ones as guided…
