Road Trip!

For my day job, I do a lot of road travel.  Today, I had the pleasure of driving two hours one way to reach my destination.  I say pleasure because during my drives, I can give undivided time to the angels and ask for guidance and love.  So, for me it is a true pleasure! 

Part of my angelic connection time in the car is listening to satellite radio.  They have some pretty uplifting, inspirational channels.  Today was no exception.   The first song that grabbed my attention was called “Don’t get comfortable”, which as the song eludes to is about change.  I look up at the tree line during this song and guess what I see?  A billboard that said in big, bold letters “COMFORTABLE”.  At that moment I thought “this is interesting”, is the message to get comfortable or don’t get comfortable?  Possible changes to come?

As I processed this thought with the angels, I became distracted with thoughts of work, family, etc. until there is another song that catches my attention called “More of you, less of me”.  This song focuses on us seeing things more in the eyes of GOD and less in our own sometimes limiting ways…great song.  Anyhow, guess what happened then?  You got it, another billboard sign that said in big, bold letters “MORE YOU”.  Funny, right?  So now I’m thinking great, road trip…road games! J  But, what does it mean…GOD?  Angels, any other hints?

Now, I am paying attention …what next guys?  As “I’m in over my head” plays on the radio I think yes, I can relate.  Although the song sings of being “over my head”, there are several references to the feeling being in the love of GOD, right where they want to be.  So as I am listening to the words, the angels send my next clue.  You guessed it, billboard style saying “We’ve got you covered”.  Thanks guys, you’re the best!

As I drew closer to the end of my drive, the song “Simple things” pulled it together for me.  In this song, the lyrics note feeling simple things, like what the day can bring.  The one phrase that stood out to me as I listened was “true love and the miracle of forgiving”.   Looking up, the billboard in front of me read “Still serving, giving back”…right after which there was another billboard which simply read “LIFE”.

There are many layers of messages within these pretty direct words that I will continue to process in the days ahead.  I was guided to share my road trip with you today as a way for you to look at the simple messages being sent to you, all around you everywhere.  When you pay attention to one, another will appear naturally.  It is amazing and can be comical, fun and serious all the while.  What are the angels saying to you and what format are they using to get your attention?
