I was listening to a CD by Carolyn Myss last week – Advanced Energy Anatomy – on the way home from driving my son to school. Now this may seem like an ordinary event in the life of an enlightened mother. And it mostly was except for how the angels orchestrated the whole thing.
Our son takes a bus from a nearby town and we drive him every morning to this bus which then takes him to his school in Providence RI. On Monday, we were on our way having left a little early due to slick roads. There was an accident on the way that caused us to miss the bus and I had to drive him all the way to school. Translation, I had about an hour of alone time in the car to listen to my CD’s….got inspired, got home and went on my way.
On Wednesday, we had another ice/snow storm and I took Theron and we made it to the bus in time, but the bus never came. So I had to drive him to Providence for the second time in one week. Translation, I had about an hour of alone time in the car to listen to my CD’s.
Again, to most people, yea, whatever. You see, we have never missed the bus before and the bus has probably skipped the morning route on school day once in 5 years. These concurrent events so close together give pause to wonder what the hidden message must be, because I KNOW the Angels work this way.
I always listen to what I am guided to. I just open the CD book and without looking choose whatever the Angels tell me to. When I selected the SAME CD the second trip home from Providence, I knew there must be a message I was struggling to receive and they were lining up this whole chain of events to hit me over the head and make sure I got it.
So here was the topic of the CD – the 6th chakra and associated rite of ordination. Carolyn Myss explains how in other cultures it used to be the case that people were “ordained” for whatever society saw them as good at. It could be a butcher, a baker, a candlestick maker…or a minister. It didn’t matter. The title of ordination was tied to the role that people see you as needing to fill. This is not necessarily (and I would go so far as to say usually not), the role that you see yourself in.
It was about 2 years ago that the Angels insisted I use the title “Reverend”. At first, it didn’t feel comfortable and I resisted. I thought, well yes, I am an ordained minister and I do know I do the work of the Divine Spirit. But something about how our culture defines “reverend” made it feel a little off. Besides, I’ve spent more of my waking hours asleep in the corporate world. Have I really earned this title? Well, the Angels don’t back down and I did a lot of personal healing around this concept and I have grown to feel comfortable with the title of “Rev. Nina”. I also know that it’s how people around me view my purpose.
The point here is, what is the title your personal fan club is ordaining you with? What role do people expect you to fulfill? Remember that it’s likely something you are resisting but at the same time feels good in your heart. The gifts others see in you that you may not see in yourself could be the missing piece to your puzzle. This role could be a huge clue as to your life purpose.
Ask the Angels for help. Look for the signs from people around you, be open to allowing them and enjoy the process of enfoldment!
Love, Rev. Nina
P.S. Another short funny Angel story…I giggled when I read Kim’s post from January 8th. I awoke last week with a song in my head and the only words I could hear were, “Your mother’s alright, your daddy’s alright, but they both seem a little weird…” Now, as I’m stumbling to the bathroom, scratching my sleepy head I’m thinking “What the heck? I don’t even really like this song. I don’t even know who sings it? What is the message here? Oy!” and then I said the words out loud and suddenly remembered the next line, “Surrender! Surrender! But don’t give yourself away.” Gee, do you think the Angels find fun and creative ways to get through to us? They sure do if you listen! 😉
