Life rarely delivers what we expect. Guessing that’s why the Buddhists put so much emphasis on non-attachment.
We pray and visualize A and then B shows up…maybe even Z. Some of the same feelings and emotional needs may be met by any of the outcomes, but not always.
Like an ocean that turns from flat calm to ferocious seas in what seems like an instant, we don’t necessarily foresee what’s coming nor do we feel prepared.
I rest in the belief that the angels know better. Perhaps there’s some life lesson or experience that wasn’t in our plan, but the energy comes ripe with opportunity to grow and heal.
This fall has delivered experiences that have brought me to my knees. I know I’m not alone with this either.
(Finger pointing at recent lunar eclipse.)
With every dark phase, I am brought deeper into my relationship with the angels.
They lead.
They counsel.
They show me the way through.
A core element they’ve brought me back to is – surprise, surprise – gratitude.
Gratitude as medicine.
Not just giving thanks when I receive something in return, but giving thanks for what is to come in the future.
What they shared in meditation is that when we ask for help, it is gratitude that clears the path to fulfillment and makes it attainable.
Think:
An ungrateful heart = lots of boulders in the road.
A grateful heart = a clear path. (It may twist and turn, but it will be clear.)
Thank you for all the blessings I will receive.
The angels are also reminding me of how important it is to give thanks for all that has been, even the hard stuff, because the hard stuff is what builds us.
Thank you for all the blessings I have received.
And because we can’t talk about the future and the past without also talking about the present…
Thank you for all the blessings in my life, right here, right now.
Gratitude Prayer to Remove Obstacles
Mother Father God, Beloved Angels,
My heart is open as wide as I am able as I
Thank you for all the blessings I have received in my life from the easy, flowing experiences to the challenging lessons that have brought me to my knees.
I thank you for all the blessings in my life, right here, right now. I am so grateful for everything you do to support my journey here as a spiritual being in human skin.
I also thank you for all the blessings I will receive. I may not know what they will be, but I have faith that you will continue to guide me, just as you always have.
Thank you, amen and blessed be. 🙏🏻
