Ahhhhhhhhh! The joys of summer! I don’t know about you, but this is my favorite time of year because I can be outside most of my waking hours. And there is nothing that inspires me more than fresh air and feeling one with my natural world.
For the past two week I have enjoyed a taste of the beach, the mountains and the thrill of my own back yard. Each environment holds the greatest secret of life – the essence of all beings: earth, air, fire and water. These elemental forces comprise all that we are.
Earth – our home, our mother, our father, the source of all that sustains us
Air – our breath of life
Fire – our source of comfort and warmth
Water – our nourishment, the substance that keeps in motion
Fill your glass with cold, fresh water, and go outside. With your bare feet wriggling in the grass, stand in the sunshine as you take a deep breath of fresh air. Honor the Earth, Air, Fire and Water in your world. You are alive because of them!
