Over a year ago, I made a God-box, a small wooden and glass box that I decorated with all kinds of inspirational words and images. In my God-box, I put my prayers, the things I was asking God to help me with. I have this God-box on my angel altar and it’s been in the same spot for many months unopened and collecting dust.
A couple of days ago, my angels guided me to go through the God-box and take a look at the prayer requests I had made and take out the ones that were answered and reconsider any prayers that are still in the works, so to speak.
They also asked me to list 3 prayers – no more – put them in the God-box, ask for guidance and to bring attention to each of them every morning in my meditation.
This morning as I was opening myself to receive in my meditation, I heard loud and clear, “Give your problems to us!”
Now, I’ve known in my head for many years now that my problems are really just an illusion and that if I wait long enough, the answer will come. Yet, I’ve still “owned” my problems and held on to them as if they are my territory, a defining part of who I am.
Things like… I “have” a family situation, I “am” menopausal and my body is suffering as a result, I “struggle” with some of the infrastructure pieces of AngelsTeach. These are MY problems. Or at least my ego would like to think so.
The real truth is that as we identify with our problems, we allow them to become emeshed in our energy. Do I want to identify myself with struggle, ill-health or challenging relationships? Of course not!
By giving our problems to the angels, we surrender our ego’s need to own them and we allow the space for the angels to create resolution.
As Suzanne and I discussed in last week’s Ministerial Moment, physical objects are a wonderful way to support our spiritual work. Using a God-box is just another way to symbolically “give” our problems to God and the angels. And by tuning in daily to receive whatever “updates” the angels have for us as THEY work through these perceived problems, we move forward in much greater peace and serenity.
Remember, it’s not your problem! xo
