Trusting Guidance – Part 1: The Impact of Habits

Much of my work teaching advanced levels of angel communication is helping people to have faith in their angels. We can believe. But we really need to BELIEVE!

…in our angels.
…in ourselves and our ability to hear them.

This is how we create major shifts, personally, within our families and also on a collective level.

There are tools, like meditation, prayer, dowsing and Human Design, that are my personal go-to’s to help with clarity. These are great when you know there’s some kind of interference.

What I’ve recently been focused on is how we unknowingly ignore guidance and don’t receive it, because there’s something in the way that we may not even be aware is there. An unseen obstacle, if you will.

What’s going on when this happens, when there’s an unseen obstacle?

There are two scenarios the angels have asked me to write about. The first is Habits…when we have habits and conditioned ways of being in the world.

The Impact of Habits

Habits are conditioned ways of being in the world. When things we do are so darned routine, our choices are programmed and automatic.

Habits can act like steam rollers to guidance. When we’re in that automatic mode, our angelic antennae are just not standing at attention. We’re not listening, because we somehow think we don’t have to. Think: I always do this, I don’t need guidance for it.

Don’t get me wrong…some habits are helpful and cement a healthy way of being in the world. The intention here is to bring awareness to situations when we’ve always done something one way and perhaps the angels are suggesting a different choice.

The guidance…well, it gets lost.

To give you an idea, let’s look at some examples.

Example: Habit #1

I’ve taken my coffee extra light and extra sweet since I was 17. The angels whisper through the body that this isn’t working, but…

In this example, the clairsentient sense is speaking through the body. When the body is not as healthy as is possible, there’s an adjustment to be made. Guidance to be heard. And a habit to be broken.

Example: Habit #2

I’ve always lived with him. I know I’ve never been very happy, but we have our routine. It’s okay. I’m safe.

In this example, the lack of peace is a claircognizant and clairsentient message from the angels that change may be in order. It could be as simple as a heart-to-heart conversation and commitment to grow together or professional therapy or a parting of ways that’s needed. Ultimately, a long term life of chronic stress and sorrow is not what the angels want for us.

Example: Habit #3

We like to watch television every night. My parents always did, so it’s what I know. I get bored, but what else am I going to do?

Again, the claircognizant and clairsentient senses are at work here demonstrating that the imagination has been dulled.

We all accept habits that are less than ideal (like my current winter habit of eating a half a gluten free baguette smothered in butter and garlic 2-3 times/week… so good!)

But, ongoing, deeply ingrained, less-than-healthy habits are like earplugs.
And… we always want to be able to hear our angels.

The wonderful news is that habits can be changed!

It takes awareness, effort and a dose of courage, but tools like EFT, meditation, therapy and dedicated study can really help.

My favorite books on this topic are The Power of Habit, by Charles Duhigg and Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself, by Joe Dispenza. Really powerful resources – I highly recommend. They’ve certainly helped me.

The beauty of it is that changes made around one habit, spill over into other areas of life. Charles Duhigg wrote in The Power of Habit, “As people strengthened their willpower muscles in one part of their lives—in the gym, or a money management program—that strength spilled over into what they ate or how hard they worked. Once willpower became stronger, it touched everything.”

I’ll leave you this week with an uplifting, high vibe quote from Joe Dispenza from Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself, “To be empowered—to be free, to be unlimited, to be creative, to be genius, to be divine—that is who you are…. Once you feel this way, memorize this feeling; remember this feeling. This is who you really are….

Read that again if you need to, because it’s true…this is who you really are. 😇

Much love,
Elvia
